High Ticket Recurring Commission Affiliate

One of the best ways to start an affiliate business is to become a high ticket recurring commission affiliate. There’s a lot of common sense behind using both both high ticket affiliate products and recurring commission affiliate programs. Using both gives you the best of both worlds; you get large income “injections” from the large value sales, plus you get ongoing small “trickles” of income from your regular members and subscribers. High Ticket Recurring Commission Affiliate Marketing

Many affiliates start out by promoting low value products. Sometimes this is just because they took a course which suggested this. That’s how I started out. I promoted physical products from Amazon and then digital products from Clickbank. Much later, I learned the value of high ticket recurring commission affiliate products.

With physical products you only earn low commissions. Physical products have many more costs attached to them such as manufacturing and distribution. And although there are certain benefits to selling physical products, these costs mean you get a low rate of commission. Amazon, for example only pays affiliates between 3 and 10% commission.

High Ticket Products – Benefits

Selling high ticket digital products means you can earn up to 40% or even 50% in some cases of a products value. Why is this so much? Simply because with digital products, you the affiliate are doing all the advertising. There’s very few costs involved with manufacturing and distribution for digital products. They can be accessed online directly at no cost to the seller. Once created, they have no on-going manufacturing costs (in most cases).

High ticket products can pay out commissions of up to $8000 for a single sale. See highest paying affiliate programs list. This means that you can also use paid marketing strategies much more effectively than you would be able to for lower cost, lower commission products. Small valued items barely give you any breathing room to test and measure a paid-for marketing campaign. With an $8000 commission in your sales kit, you can afford to test a few adverts and fail many times before you make a sale.

Testing and measuring your marketing tactics is an important part of learning to become successful as an affiliate. If you’re only focused on free marketing strategies as an affiliate, you’ll have a lot of work to do and a long wait. (See how long does it take to make money with affiliate marketing).

High Ticket Recurring Commission Affiliate – Subscriptions

Subscriptions and memberships are the best strategies to use for affiliates besides high ticket products. It took me a long time before I realised how powerful membership products really are for affiliates. I wasted a lot of time selling single products which only paid me once. Many affiliate programs only pay their affiliates once and then benefit from a potential lifetime of sales directly from each new customer who is referred. The affiliate then has to continually look for new customers and never really builds anything of their own.

With membership affiliate products (and subscription software products), affiliates can earn ongoing commissions for each and every customer they refer – potentially for a lifetime. Even a tiny recurring commission of $10 a month soon ads up with 100 customers. That’s $1000 a month recurring (passive). Of course there’s some attrition – customers dropping out. But if you choose products and customers wisely, you can create a hug ongoing income from referring customers to products which offer a lifetime value. (see recurring commission affiliate programs).

Typical examples of recurring commission products include membership sites (see free videos), software products such as hosting or autoresponders. These kinds of software are vital for online business owners, for example. So they make perfect sense for affiliates to promote because they can offer a lifetime value to the customer.

Other Income Sources From Affiliate Marketing

High ticket recurring commissions are two considerations for affiliates. But are there any other things to consider? Yes. A product range and the ability to earn multi-tier commissions are both other considerations if you’re already considering using high ticket recurring commissions. A product range gives you more products to offer existing customers. With many stand-alone affiliate products, you sell them once and only make a single commission. Ideally, you could have a number of products (or up-sells) within a range of products.

A built in sales team is another thing to consider too. With a ready made business model (like this one), you can offer up an existing sales funnel which has a number of up-sells, multi-tier sales, high ticket products and subscription products all built in.

Multi-Tier Sales?

What is a multi-tier sale? A multi tier sale refers to sales you make through your referrals. With a program which offers this, you can build a team and benefit from the sales they make. This incentivises you to help other people succeed in their own affiliate businesses; if you have referred them to a program.

A multi tier sales program which also uses subscription products can pay you for subscriptions sold by your team. This means you’ll not only earn from both high ticket sales and recurring commissions from your own sales, but also you’ll earn from those same kinds of sales made by your ‘downline’, or people whom you have referred to a program.

A Product Range

Selling a range of products gives you more products to offer existing customers. With a built in sales team, you only need to refer your customer to the entry level product. The sales team will “up-sell” customers other products within the range. Better products cost more money and so a product range might have incrementally more expensive products as you go up through the range.

Customers who buy an entry level product from you may go on to purchase a higher level product much later on. So you benefit from a customer for life, once you have referred them to a product range. Most affiliate programs don’t offer this. They only pay you once. When a customer returns, they benefit from the sale but you, as the original affiliate don’t.
